“THE Church of England has chosen the Archbishop of Wales, Dr Rowan Williams, to be the next Archbishop of Canterbury.” — well, that’s what the story says.
I think this time it may very well be true. Actually, Ruth says she has two sources and is completely sure of it, though she doesn’t know who the second name was. Not Nazir-Ali, at a guess.
Poor Rowan. This afternoon, Paul Handley, the ediotr of the Church Times, was due to have tea with them (Jane Williams writes a column for the paper). I told him to convey my sympathies.
